Wilmington, Delaware 19850-7019You failed to grasp, or even address, the sole point of my July 2nd letter. There are two distinct and fundamental types of inquiries to credit files.
Explain your understanding of the difference between the two types of inquiries and why your company insists on making both for account review purposes.
As stated in my July 2nd letter, my credit score Factor Description states that I have "TOO MAY INQUIRIES."
Further, it explains:
EXCESSIVE INQUIRIES ON THE CREDIT REPORT HAVE A NEGATIVE EFFECT ON YOUR CREDIT SCORE. LIMITING THE NUMBER OF CREDIT APPLICATIONS YOU COMPLETE MAY IMPROVE YOUR CREDIT SCORE.The key word of the last sentence of that quote is "APPLICATIONS." You made the type of inquiry indicating an application, and I did not make a credit application in January, 2001. Confirm that I did not. If you claim that I did, state so, and produce a document proving it.What are the differences between the two types of inquiries you made to my file? Which affects my credit score? How do you determine which type to make? What is the person's name who gave you training regarding the type of inquiry to make for account reviews?
Do not reply without anwering all the questions and, this time, do not reply without addressing the only point of this and my last letter: The two types of inquiries and the consequence of creating them. Reply in writing.
